Well, I finally decided that I should post my first journal entry of the semester. So here it is. And, before I get started, I really promise to try to post on a regular basis. It might not happen, but I'm going to try.

So anyway, I've just been through a week and a half of Resident Advisor Orientation 2001 - fun stuff, let me tell you! I've been busy non-stop since August 6. Today (Aug. 15) is my first day off since then. I have absolutely nothing to do. Ok, so that's not completely true. I'm sure I could find things to do, like go to the bookstore and get my books or make some signs for my floor. I probably will but I don't want to think that far ahead. After all, I haven't even slept yet.

So anyway, I'm on Couch 10W again. It's the only upperclass floor left in the towers, so it's in very high demand. Right now I have some residents with single rooms, but it doesn't look like it's going to stay that way. Whatever happens, I'll deal with it, but right now I'm very happy with my 27 residents - that's less than any other floor in Couch.

On a more personal level, I'm having mucho fun with all the RAs in Couch/Cross, especially some of the rookies. They're really great and I know we'll have a great staff this year. I can feel it.

This is just a test post to make sure everything's working. More to come later.
